Brittany and Jerry Hepworth, both accomplished MBA graduates, proudly assumed ownership of Artisan ABQ in January 2023. With a shared vision and a passion for the arts, they are committed to fostering a vibrant creative community in Albuquerque.

Brittany’s journey in the fine art supply world began in her childhood, deeply influenced by her father, Ron Whitmore, co-owner of Artisan Santa Fe for 34 years. This early exposure ignited her love for art and the importance of supporting artists. Reflecting on her experiences at the Artisan – Art Supply Source of the Southwest Canyon Road store, Brittany notes, “I always felt fortunate to be part of the artist community, aiding customers in finding the supplies to create their masterpieces. Art is an intimate act, creating something from the heart.” With the opportunity to acquire Artisan Albuquerque emerging from the retirement of Ernie Cavasos, the previous co-owner with 43 years of dedicated service, Brittany and Jerry are excited to continue this legacy.

Jerry brings over 16 years of business expertise, with a strong background in project management, marketing, website development, and technical support. His comprehensive understanding of computer hardware and software is set to enhance the e-commerce experience for customers in Albuquerque and beyond.

Together, Brittany and Jerry are eager to implement significant plans for Artisan ABQ, focusing on expanding e-commerce and cultivating a strong sense of community among artists and art enthusiasts. Their combined experience in marketing and digital strategy positions them well to elevate the store’s presence and support the local arts scene. With their dedication and vision, the Hepworths are poised to make a lasting impact on the artistic landscape of Albuquerque.<
