I was a customer of Artisans Taos and Santa Fe a few years back, but I haven't been to any of the stores since leaving Taos. Now that I have moved back to NM and live in ABQ, I am elated to have an Artisans Store in my neighborhood.The new owners are super polite. Upon my entry, they gave me a warm greeting. The staff is terrific to work with and attentive. The advantages of being able to see before I buy and the convenience of being local outweigh the disadvantages of buying sight unseen. Then there's the social aspect of running into other creative peeps! The staff are all artists themselves and are conversant in their individual disciplines.

Artisan is under new management-woman and veteran owned. They also hold community events and art shows in the new community gallery in the lower level. This store has a lot of great products and selection. They also host a teacher night and support teachers, schools and students in the community. I definitely recommend artisan for your art supplies needs!

The staff was super helpful and made it easy to find everything I needed. The gentleman who helped me spent the time to answer all my questions and even stayed past closing to ensure I had everything I needed. Their expertise also helped keep me from making some very expensive mistakes. Normally you expect a business to upsell you but I felt they just wanted to make sure I had what was right for me. A local business that is customer focused, I look forward to my next visit.

This was my first time in this lovely art store. The workers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of art supplies for those who are taking art classes or whose skill level is a step or two above what they sell at Hobby Lobby. They have very high quality supplies without having astronomical prices. I will definitely come back to shop here! My daughter is a college art student and was so grateful she found what she needed here in town and she didn't have to order online! Take some time to check out this great art shop, you will be glad you stopped by!

Everything. They have EVERYTHING- in every color and in every brand you won't find at your more mainstream corporate shops like Hobby Lobby or Michaels, for example. They accommodate the very novice artist as well as the ridiculously skilled modern day DaVinci's, and everyone in between who may need to pick up art supplies for a school project. And if you don't know what you're looking for, the employees are always verrryyyy helpful and knowledgeable and even offer to order a product for you if they have run out and/or don't carry a certain color, size, texture, etc.! Fabulous gem of a place, a true treasure tucked up in Nob Hill!
