I invite you into the studio to learn fundamentals of painting the high desert
landscape in watercolor. In this three hour workshop I will guide you in creating your
own unique vision of the New Mexican landscape, whether it be from your
imagination, a picture, or setting you up with the skillset to paint from your own
backyard. Each student will leave the workshop with a completed painting, as well as
tips, tricks, and a materials list to paint on their own time.
Topics of discussion:
composition, color theory, perspective, elements and principles of design, and
personal style.

Paper: Fabriano 100% cotton 140 lb. rough press paper
Brushes: Princeton Neptune Synthetic Squirrel Brushes, various sizes
